About the role
About The Role & Program
Join us for an opportunity to be a part of Disney Television Animation (DTVA)! We are an industry leader in the creation of animated television series for kids and families. The studio brings creative and production expertise together under the leadership of Disney Branded Television. DTVA’s Current Series division provides creative oversight and management over all Kids and Family animated series.
This is a full-time internship, and approximate dates of this internship are from June 2026 through December 2026. If selected for this role, you will report directly to the Director of Current Series. What You Will Do
We are looking for a self-motivated candidate who is curious, passionate about animation, embraces innovation, and has a strong desire to learn and grow. Here’s some of what you can expect:
- Extensive reading and script coverage
- Learning the basics of the production pipeline for 11 minute and 22 minute series.
- Shadowing executives at all relevant meetings, notes sessions, board pitches, and screenings
- In-depth training tips for note generation on scripts, storyboards, and animatics.
- Assist in building decks and acquiring assets for presentations, online conventions, and share-outs
- Suggest and present new strategies, initiatives, and ideas
- Develop knowledge of creative talent through research and review of social media, TV, and film, and publishing content
- Attend meet and greets with other overhead employees to learn about their roles and responsibilities
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Knowledge of the DTVA, Disney Channels, and Disney Plus brands
- Strong writing skills
- Analytical reading comprehension and critical thinking
- A positive attitude and warm personality
- Passion, a collaborative spirit, and a willingness to try new things
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience working in Adobe Photoshop
- Organized, self-sufficient, and quick to adapt
Education
Students studying in their senior year preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the requirements below
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess unrestricted work authorization.

- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Glendale, California area.
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
The pay rate for this role in California is $22.50 per hour.
