The Opportunity: Technical Sourcer, Research

As a Technical Sourcer, Research, you will report to the Recruiting Manager and be instrumental in hiring for critical areas like Research and Data Science, with flexibility to support other challenging searches across the business. You are expected to be an expert in pipeline generation, adept at meeting Voleon's exceptionally high hiring standards, and capable of developing effective strategies to engage top-tier talent. Given Voleon's high people standards and low external profile, the firm places significant value on its sourcing function. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference by supercharging the company's growth and shaping its future.

Responsibilities

  • Directly source a robust pipeline of rare technical talent for various searches, initially focusing on Research roles.
  • Collaborate closely with sourcers, recruiters, and hiring managers to craft effective sourcing and pitching strategies.
  • Institutionalize talent strategies and outreach content across the team to enhance overall sourcing effectiveness.
  • Manage sourcing and talent strategy-related processes and initiatives, including new search launches, talent market evaluations, search recalibrations, referral drives, systematic sourcing campaigns, and piloting new talent attraction methods.
  • Ensure a positive and memorable candidate experience, even for those who do not join the firm.
  • Maintain and refine a high-performance recruiting process to consistently deliver outstanding quality of hire efficiently and diligently.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of talent acquisition experience with proven expertise in sourcing top technical talent (PhD/scientist/research talent preferred).
  • Demonstrated history of contributing to team-level initiatives, including recruiting processes, institutional knowledge, and content.
  • Eagerness to collaborate with diverse, highly talented teams.
  • Bachelor's degree (a plus).
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
