IT Digital Transformation Manager Part-Time

The Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw) is an independent institute for applied economic research focusing on Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe. The institute has been successful for over 50 years and enjoys an excellent international reputation. We offer economic studies, forecasts, and economic data to our clients and stakeholders. To strengthen our international team, we are looking for a dedicated IT/Digital Transformation Manager (m/f/d, part-time).

We are seeking an individual to actively drive our digital transformation and manage key digital projects within the institute. This role is positioned at the intersection of management, research, and administration, combining strategic development with concrete implementation.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Further development and management of our digital transformation projects in close collaboration with the management and the project team.
  • Point of contact for external service providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordination of the implementation of a new website.
  • Management of service provider selection and implementation of a new CRM solution.
  • Support and further development of the change adoption process following the recent transition to Microsoft 365.
  • Support for the application of AI in internal institute processes.
  • Monitoring & Documentation: Project progress, dependencies, risks, meetings.
  • Identification and implementation of automation potentials.

What You Should Bring:

  • Experience in digital projects or IT project management.
  • Experience with CRM or web projects.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams).
  • Independent way of working and strong communication skills.
  • Fluent German and English.
  • Stakeholder management/ability to translate technical requirements into understandable concepts.

Additional Information:

  • Start Date: From June 2026.
  • Application Deadline: May 3, 2026.
  • The position is intended as part-time employment of 20 hours per week or a service contract. The position is initially limited to 12 months. With successful collaboration, there is a possibility of extension.
  • The minimum monthly salary for 20 hours per week is €1,850 gross, paid 14 times a year, with a willingness for higher payment depending on qualifications and experience.
