About the Role

We are seeking experienced geopolitical experts to join a leading AI research initiative. In this role, you will improve AI models' understanding of global political and security events through structured forecasts, detailed analysis, and quality data support.

What You’ll Do

  • Forecast political, diplomatic, and security-related events
  • Document reasoning processes with supporting evidence
  • Review and refine collective forecasts
  • Share insights to improve AI model training

Ideal Profile

  • Background in Political Science, International Relations, or similar
  • Forecasting experience; participation in platforms like GJ Open or Metaculus
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of global political and military affairs

Role Details

This is a remote and flexible contractor role (10–20 hours per week) with compensation ranging from $105 to $140 per hour. Payments are made weekly via Stripe Connect. Note that recruitment facilitation is handled by The UVA VEC on behalf of the hiring AI research partner; final selection, onboarding, and contracting are managed directly by the client.
