Job Description
Project Coordinator - Temporary Part-Time
The Project Coordinator is a grant funded role that will report to Dr. Jennifer Woo and Dr. Kyrah Brown in the College of Nursing and Health Innovation. The Project Coordinator will assist with designing, implementing, and evaluating a community-wide maternal health project. This position acts as the primary liaison with the research team, community organizations, and other entities and oversees all phases of project planning and coordination. This position will provide administrative support and coordination for the needs of a research project.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, public health, social work, nursing, or related field.
- Two (2) years of experience of project planning and implementation.
- At least two (2) years of basic or intermediate administrative experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency with tools such as Canva or Adobe Express.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in communication, public health social work, nursing or related field and/or three (3) years of experience with project planning, implementation, and/or evaluation.
- At least three (3) years of intermediate administrative experience.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Leads meeting scheduling and coordination for project team and community partners; facilitates teams communications.
- Assists with budget projections and monitoring.
- Tracks project progress, solves problems, and provides regular updates to the project leadership.
- Assists with preparing and maintaining project plans, budgets, and other requirements often with deadline pressures.
- Responsible for assisting with the preparation of reports for funder.
- Acts as a communications liaison (when needed) preparing a wide variety of correspondence for the project team, external audiences; and ensuring the appropriate handling of sensitive materials and information.
