The Part-Time Application Reader position at The State University of New York supports the confidential review process for the New York State Master Teacher Program. This remote role involves virtual training sessions, independent reviews, and committee-based meetings within a set schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend virtual reader training and scheduled meetings.
- Review application materials according to program guidelines and deadlines.
- Submit written review summaries via a virtual platform.
- Dedicate approximately 15-20 hours per week.
- Report directly to the Executive Director.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in STEM, K-12 education, counseling, or related areas; strong attention to detail; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Google, and other web platforms; effective time management and communication skills; commitment to confidentiality and collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as an application reader or background in STEM-related organizations and K-12/higher education teaching or counseling.
Additional Information
Salary is based on experience. The hourly rate for this position is $35.00. The job is remote, with temporary positions running from January 2026 to April 2026. This role is classified under State Title: Senior Staff Assistant (SL-3) and falls under the United University Professions Union. VISA sponsorship is not available.
