About the Internal Communication Specialist Role
The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking an Internal Communication Specialist responsible for creating and executing high-quality content across various platforms. This role is key in crafting clear, concise, and impactful messaging that translates complex information into engaging communications and visually compelling PowerPoint presentations.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and execute internal communications strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Create targeted, consistent, and impactful messaging across campaigns.
- Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and functional teams.
- Design and manage audience-specific campaigns with performance analysis.
- Produce high-quality, visually appealing presentations and materials.
- Coordinate with designers, photographers, and media specialists for creative direction.
- Oversee publishing workflows in collaboration with IT and business units.
- Support IT-related communications and contribute to strategic planning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations or related field required. Change Management, behavioral Analysis, and Agile project management certifications are assets. 3-5 years of experience in corporate communications in change management and employee engagement is essential. Advanced PowerPoint, SharePoint, InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator skills are required along with excellent written English and project management abilities.
Compensation & Travel
The target salary range is from $66,831.48 to $83,539.35, with a maximum of $100,247.22, based on market conditions and candidate experience. Occasional travel is required to The Salvation Army of Canada's Territorial Headquarters in Toronto.
