Overview
The Salvation Army in Canada is a long-standing organization committed to serving communities across Canada and Bermuda, helping millions with essential needs. This role is for the Director, HR Technology, a strategic leadership position focused on managing and enhancing the Workday HCM platform.
Key Accountabilities
- Strategic oversight of Workday HCM alignment with organizational goals.
- Post–go-live sustainment and stabilization ensuring high system availability.
- Optimization of system functionality including automation, self-service, and reporting.
- Ensuring data integrity, security, and accuracy through audits and controls.
- Collaboration with HR, IT, and business leaders for effective solutions.
- Managing vendor relationships to deliver quality service.
- Rolling out enhancements and HR technology projects.
- Team leadership including recruiting and mentoring HR Technology professionals.
- Developing HR analytics to drive data-driven decisions.
- Acting as the primary contact for HR technology governance and audits.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, HR, or a related field.
- 10+ years of HRIS/IT systems management experience with Workday HCM expertise.
- Proven experience in post–go-live sustainment and system optimization.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance in diverse environments.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent project management, vendor management and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and change management proficiency.
- High integrity and discretion in handling confidential data.
Compensation & Accommodation
