About the Role
Join us as a Senior Administration Officer, Special Interest Groups in our Policy, Advocacy, and Standards Unit, reporting to the Senior Manager, Standards. You’ll help bring together members with shared expertise in specific areas of radiology and radiation oncology. These groups contribute to professional collaboration, education, and the advancement of clinical practice.
The Special Interest Groups Senior Administration Officer plays a key role in supporting SIG members by ensuring they receive responsive, professional, and well-coordinated support. The role is responsible for managing communications, organising meetings and small events, and helping SIGs operate effectively within College processes. The role also provides responsive administrative and coordination support across the Policy, Advocacy and Standards Unit, contributing to broader unit priorities as required.
Success in the role requires a strong focus on member service, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality support to members of SIGs, ensuring their needs are understood, responded to promptly, and handled with professionalism and care.
- Provide support for SIGs meetings including collating agenda’s, completion of minutes and follow-up actions, ensuring SIG activities align with College policies and procedures, escalating issues where required.
- Provide support for SIG-led webinars, workshops, or conference sessions, within available time and scope—primarily assisting with straightforward or low-complexity activities, identifying where activities require support from other units within RANZCR.
- Monitor SIG email inboxes and respond to or triage enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide administrative and governance support for related policy, advocacy and standards activities as required.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support SIG outputs and other unit priorities.
- Effectively manage workload and competing priorities by setting realistic timelines, identifying capacity constraints, and maintaining focus on core responsibilities.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to shared goals, supporting colleagues as needed, and respond flexibly to emerging priorities or tasks across the unit, ensuring continuity and consistency of support.
What You’ll Bring
- Delivery of high-quality customer or member service
- Experience working with committees, working groups, or volunteer stakeholders, including providing secretariat support
- Organising meetings or small events, including travel bookings, managing logistics and preparing documentation
- Familiarity with managing email inboxes, member enquiries, and internal communications
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing deadlines and work flexibly across multiple priorities
- Relevant qualification in administration, communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Well-developed organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines with minimal supervision
