Team Operations Executive - Policy and Social Impact

The Premier League’s Policy and Social Impact department is looking for a Team Operations Executive to support administration and facilitate operations across its varied portfolio. The preferred candidate will join a department covering a broad remit of policy and social impact work, including: public affairs, fan engagement, community and wider football, regulatory affairs, environmental sustainability, and equality, diversity and inclusion. The candidate will work closely with planning, project management and operations colleagues, facilitating delivery and initiatives across the entire department.

The Operations Executive will work collaboratively to support others across a range of projects and processes, including meeting coordination/administration, events, invoice management, hospitality tracking and project support. It is a fast-paced and varied role that would suit someone with an interest in learning about the policy and social impact aspects of a sports organisation, in an administrative supporting role.

The work we do in conjunction with the Clubs also goes far beyond the 90 minutes. We support and provide a framework for youth development, we protect the organisation’s intellectual property, support the wider game and community programmes, undertake international development work and liaise with governing bodies and other leagues.

All staff liaise closely with their line manager to manage their time appropriately and according to their work and team requirements.

The Role

Key Responsibilities Will Include, But Is Not Limited To
  • Providing administrative support for programmes and projects across the Policy and Social Impact department.
  • Working closely with the department’s operations function to support teams with meetings and travel; events and venue bookings, and some diary coordination and support.
  • Support with overall department budget: helping with forecasts, management of invoice processing and tracking, and processing expenses.
  • Administering the department’s hospitality requests, allocations and invitations.
  • Production and management of key planning documentation across the department.
  • Providing project and event support as required by teams across the department.
  • Assist with preparation and maintenance of project documentation such as action trackers, minutes and milestones.

Role Requirement

  • Administrative and operational experience in a corporate environment.
  • Excellent written, numerical and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in organising meeting and corporate event logistics.
  • Experience in processing invoices and expenses.
  • Excellent Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills.
  • Interest in learning about the office-based functions of a sport organisation.
  • Organised and efficient, able to prioritise a busy and varied workload.
  • Experience in supporting or working as part of a team.
