What You'll Do

This Lead Associate Principal Database Administration role is responsible for designing and maintaining databases and database solutions that meet company standards. You will participate in all phases of systems development projects, monitor and tune database performance, and ensure that resource limits are adhered to.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with design, implementation, and maintenance of databases
  • Manage database performance and disk usage
  • Provide support in database access methods and production problem resolution
  • Develop and document maintenance, backup, and recovery procedures
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery drills and testing of new software releases
  • Support business studies, proposal teams and feasibility studies
  • Prepare system documentation and maintain metadata repositories

Technical Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years’ experience with PostgreSQL (EDB preferred)
  • 3+ years’ experience with Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins & CI/CD
  • Additional experience with CTE, Barman, AWS, DB2 LUW on Red Hat Linux, SQL Server, MySQL/MariaDB, and DB2 on z/OS

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in complex database application development or as an associate DBA
  • Well versed in systems analysis and design, programming, and scripting languages
  • Proficient in DML, DDL, database utilities, and access methods
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business
