Your Role

As an Access & Equity Intern, you will support the development and delivery of initiatives that aim to embed inclusion across The Ocean Race — from events and teams to partnerships and global audiences. This is a hands-on, learning-driven role, where you will contribute to real projects while developing practical experience in social impact and inclusive practices.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support the delivery of Access & Equity initiatives across programmes and events
  • Contribute to research and insights shaping our DEI strategy
  • Help develop inclusive communications and storytelling
  • Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and community stakeholders
  • Provide project and operational support across multiple workstreams

  • Background or studies in relevant fields (social impact, sport, sustainability, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills and interest in inclusive messaging
  • Proactive, organised, and comfortable managing multiple tasks
  • Curious, reflective, and eager to learn
  • Comfortable working in a remote, international environment

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a student in a university or educational institution
  • Ability to formalise a practical training agreement (internship agreement) between The Ocean Race and the relevant university or educational centre
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken)
  • Availability for the full internship period
