About Product Designer, Growth
The New York Times seeks a Product Designer to join the Growth mission. The focus is on creating app experiences that drive digital subscriptions and audience growth.
Mission Overview & Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Design first-in-class app experiences that attract and convert subscribers.
- Support product strategy with high-level questions and user insights.
- Create user journeys, wireframes, and documentation to drive alignment.
- Collaborate with engineers and product teams to maintain design quality.
- Report to the Design Manager for Growth.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Basic qualifications include a portfolio showcasing end-to-end design, 3+ years of experience in digital products, proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools, and experience in user research. Preferred skills include app design experience, strong visual design principles, UI copywriting, A/B testing designs, and impactful design decision-making.
Work Environment & Additional Information
This is a hybrid position based at The New York Times headquarters in New York City. The role emphasizes independent journalism and diversity in a global workplace.
