About the Role

The New School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support faculty with a range of instructional responsibilities. The TA will work under the close supervision of the instructor of record who designs the syllabus and determines the course content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discussion sections and deliver lectures as needed.
  • Assist with classroom management and assign homework.
  • Assess student work, administer exams, and maintain records.
  • Follow the Policy on Maximum Student Work Hours.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must be matriculated, within the degree time limit, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or above. Specific eligibility requirements vary by department, and being enrolled during the TA appointment semester is mandatory. For Master’s students, progress requirements may apply.
