Overview
The New School is seeking an Assistant Director Research Compliance Administration to support research programs through regulatory compliance, project management, and administrative excellence. This role involves working closely with the Associate Provost for Research and other stakeholders to implement policies and ensure adherence to federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance (50%): Manage compliance documentation, coordinate audit responses, design training plans, and oversee conflict of interest processes including COIC administration and IRB support.
Project Management (40%): Facilitate cross-functional teams, develop project and business plans, integrate technology tools, and improve administrative software efficiency.
Administration (10%): Oversee internal grant competitions, coordinate informational sessions, analyze performance metrics, and support continuous process improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 3-5 years of experience in project management, regulatory compliance, and policy development. Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and experience working in cross-functional teams are required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in process design and a strong technical aptitude.
Work Mode
Hybrid – Primarily remote with occasional on-campus presence as required.
Salary Range
$75,000 - $85,000 per annum.
