Welcome to The Ned NoMad, a sophisticated members' club and hotel located in the heart of New York City. As part of The Ned family, this property combines history and contemporary style within the historic Johnston Building dating back to 1903.
Job Overview
The Back Server role at The Ned NoMad reports directly to the General Manager. Working in a fast-moving, supportive environment, you will manage multiple tasks, support various departments, and ensure a brilliant guest experience.
Main Duties
- Set tables in accordance with company standards.
- Stock and maintain server stations.
- Detail tables before service and ensure organized place settings.
- Deliver bread and offer sparkling or still water to guests.
- Clear and reset tables between courses.
- Complete side work before and after service.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager.
Requirements
Minimum 1-2 years experience in a fast-paced, professional environment is required. Previous high-volume restaurant experience or a willingness to learn is essential. Successful candidates will be team-focused, active communicators and detail-oriented individuals who understand the importance of a coordinated effort in delivering excellent service.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours, move, pull, carry or lift between 20 to 60 pounds, and perform fast-paced movements including kneeling, bending, crouching, climbing, and using a step ladder.
