About the role
About The Role
We’re hiring a CRO Specialist who can systematically improve conversion rates across ecommerce funnels by identifying friction, forming strong hypotheses, running clean experiments, and translating insights into clear actions.
This is not a “reporting” role. You’ll be expected to:
- Find the biggest leaks
- Prioritize what matters
- Test fast (without breaking rigor)
- Turn learnings into repeatable wins
What you’ll own
CRO strategy + experimentation
- Own the CRO roadmap per account: hypotheses, test plans, prioritization, and learning agendas.
- Build and maintain a structured testing pipeline (backlog → design/dev → QA → launch → analysis → iterate).
User behavior + diagnostics
- Diagnose drop-offs and friction using GA4, Shopify analytics, funnels, session replays, heatmaps, surveys, and VOC.
- Identify conversion blockers across key pages: landing pages, collection pages, PDPs, cart, checkout, and post-purchase.
Testing execution
- Run A/B tests and split tests with clean methodology: sample size awareness, guardrails, QA, and documentation.
- Ensure measurement integrity: event tracking, attribution sanity checks, and consistent reporting.
Insights → implementation
- Convert findings into clear, actionable recommendations for UX/UI and dev (wire guidance, copy suggestions, component notes).
- Partner with creative strategy + design to ensure tests align with messaging and traffic intent.
Reporting + storytelling
- Produce concise, decision-ready reporting: what we tested, what happened, confidence level, what we learned, what we’re doing next.
- Communicate outcomes and next steps to internal teams and clients.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Audit funnels, pages, and analytics to surface the biggest opportunities.
- Write test hypotheses and define success metrics + guardrails.
- Coordinate with design/dev for build specs, QA checklists, and launch timing.
- Monitor tests daily (health checks) and document anomalies.
- Present weekly/biweekly CRO updates with learnings and next experiments.
Requirements
- 2+ years doing CRO for ecommerce (agency or in-house).
- Strong grasp of experimentation fundamentals: hypothesis quality, test design and QA, statistical significance vs. directional signal, avoiding common pitfalls (peeking, tracking breaks, sample pollution).
- Experience with GA4 and ecommerce analytics (Shopify preferred).
- Comfortable using heatmaps/session replay tools and customer feedback systems.
- Strong written communication: clear hypotheses, clean reporting, crisp recommendations.
Nice to have
- Shopify theme familiarity (Liquid basics) or experience working closely with dev teams.
- Familiarity with experimentation platforms (Convert, Optimizely, VWO, etc.).
- Experience with landing page systems (Replo, Shogun, PageFly, GemPages, etc.).
- Understanding of offer strategy, direct response fundamentals, and creative testing alignment.
- Basic SQL or BigQuery experience (not required, big plus).
What success looks like (first 60–90 days)
- You’ve built a prioritized CRO roadmap for key accounts.
- You’re running a consistent testing cadence with clean documentation.
- You’ve delivered measurable wins and meaningful learnings—even when tests don’t “win.”
- You’ve improved cross-team velocity (design/dev/creative know exactly what to build and why).
How you’ll be measured
- Test velocity (quality + cadence)
- Measurement integrity (clean tracking, minimal QA issues)
- Impact (CVR, AOV, revenue per session, funnel step improvements—context matters)
- Insight quality (what we learned + how it changes strategy)
- Collaboration (how effectively you move tests from idea → live → iterated)
Working style
- High ownership, high accountability, fast iteration.
- Clear documentation and proactive communication.
- You’ll be trusted to run the process and keep momentum high.
