Responsibilities

Summary of Duties: Oversee and verify construction activities, interpret construction documents, maintain field records, and manage As-Builts. Communicate and coordinate with all contractors and third-party companies affected by the work. Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, schedule updates, and daily work inquiries. Attend and host weekly meetings with the contractor, client, and engineer of record. Maintain a strong focus on site safety and security.

Detailed Responsibilities: Review daily logs from inspectors. Complete daily project diaries. Understand project budgets and negotiate change orders. Review and approve monthly schedule updates for all contracts. Verify man-hours for security personnel. Review and approve monthly quantity discussions with the contractor for payment. Draft and edit meeting minutes. Review and maintain all material certifications, sampling, and testing results.

  • Experience: Overseeing and verifying work by inspectors; requisition and schedule approvals; reading contract drawings and specifications; experience with excavation and trench work (sewer, drainage, electrical, gas, communication); experience with grading, fill placement, and roadway/sidewalk installation. Experience with NYCDEP, NYCDDC, NYCDOT, and NYC Parks is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master of Science in Engineering.
  • Skills: Proficiency in all Microsoft products (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) and Adobe. Knowledge of Visio is preferred but not required.
  • Certifications/Licenses: NY Professional Engineering License.

Compensation Details

Hourly Range: $75.00 - $90.00 per hour. The exact compensation will be determined by individual candidate qualifications and location. The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available.
