Overview

The Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Developer II Data Science Artificial Intelligence who will participate in the creation, implementation, maintenance, performance, production support, and documentation of departmental and enterprise-wide application systems.

Key Responsibilities

Analysis & Requirements Gathering: Meet with clients to understand business, clinical, or education problems and document findings. Gather system requirements by researching existing technologies.

Design & Development: Develop detailed tasks based on project scope and milestones. Write functional and technical specifications from gathered requirements. Develop and modify data inputs, database structures, data transformations, algorithms, and outputs using appropriate tools and languages. Document code with proper comments and supporting materials.

Testing & Documentation: Create and document test scenarios using designated tools to ensure functionality. Conduct testing to verify changes and document results for technical and end-user references.

Implementation & Maintenance: Implement changes following change management policies. Monitor implemented solutions and resolve any issues promptly. Provide production support by triaging and resolving problems in real-time.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree; one year related experience with computer systems and applications. Additional education or experience may substitute for formal requirements.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the assigned application and its running platform.

Additional Information

This is a remote position within the DSAI Institute at the Whiting School of Engineering with a Casual/On Call employee group status. The role includes responsibilities such as continual system monitoring, change implementation, and adherence to benefit policies and requirements including pre-employment background checks, vaccine mandates, and diversity inclusion initiatives.
