Position Overview
The Institute for Study Abroad is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to manage, secure, and ensure the integrity of student and partner data for global study abroad programs. Key Responsibilities
Data Quality & Integrity:
- Define and implement data quality standards and processes.
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies across systems.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records.
Policy & Compliance:
- Develop governance policies in line with FERPA, GDPR, HIPAA, and EUAI Act.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams on data-sharing agreements.
Data Stewardship:
- Act as liaison between Enrollment, Academics, and IT departments.
- Document data flows and manage metadata repositories.
Education & Training:
- Train staff on best practices in data handling and protection.
- Create clear documentation for processes and protocols.
Technology & Tools:
- Collaborate with IT to manage system permissions and data architecture.
- Support audits and participate in data migration or integration projects.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements & Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Higher Education Administration, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data governance or compliance.
- Familiarity with FERPA and GDPR regulations; education data knowledge is preferred.
- Experience with CRMs, data visualization tools, or student information systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with enterprise-level AI Platforms is preferred.
- Strong project coordination, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Existing work authorization for Ireland and physical residency in Ireland required.
Physical and Work Environment
This position is remote. A laptop will be provided, and occasional meetings outside local business hours are expected due to global operations.
