Overview

The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) is a world renowned paediatric healthcare centre committed to improving the health of children through healthcare, research, and education. In this role as Administrative Assistant within the Division of Neurology, you will support three paediatric neurologists in areas of administration, academic affairs, research, and finance.

Administration Duties

You will provide general administrative support, maintain complex calendars, schedule meetings and rounds, coordinate travel arrangements, prepare confidential documents, record meeting minutes, manage correspondence, and offer backup coverage as needed.

Academic Responsibilities

Responsibilities include updating physicians' curriculum vitae, preparing teaching dossiers, supporting annual review processes, and organizing conferences, symposiums, and guest lectures.

Research Support

In the research domain, you will maintain CVs and biosketches, support scientific reviews, assist with grant submissions, track renewals, conduct literature searches, and help prepare publications and presentations.

Financial Administration

You will oversee department finance accounts, analyze and reconcile financial reports, process expense reports and corporate credit card statements, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.

What You'll Need

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in business or office administration.
  • Several years of administrative experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Professional, and Endnote/Reference Manager.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
