General Warehouse Associate at The Home Depot Canada
With a career at The Home Depot Canada, you can be yourself and also be part of something bigger. This position involves processing the flow of goods through the Distribution Centre during a set shift from 5am to 4:30pm, Sunday to Tuesday and every other Wednesday.
Position Overview
You will perform necessary tasks including receiving goods, unloading trucks, palletizing, order picking and packing, operating material handling equipment, and loading products as per SOPs.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate various material handling equipment (Forklift, Walkie Rider, etc.).
- Load, unload, sort, stage and transport products efficiently.
- Collaborate with Operations Managers, area coordinators, and associates.
- Deliver outstanding customer service for internal teams and stores.
- Maintain orderly work areas and follow SOPs.
Competencies & Skills
Strong customer focus, vision, results orientation, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Physical & Working Conditions
- Walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Warehouse environment with dust, noise, drafts, and gas fumes.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 1-2 years distribution centre experience (asset).
- Knowledge of forklift operation is an asset.
