Senior Analyst Financial Data Systems and Control

The Financial Data Systems and Controls Governance team in The Hershey Company is responsible for global oversight and governance for financially relevant data, processes, systems and internal controls. The role supports key systems and applications that facilitate the monthly close, primarily for the global instance of SAP S4 Hana, as well as local ERP systems like ARP or Microsoft Dynamics.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Financial Data Systems Support: Perform monthly procedures for system support during month end close and consolidation.
  • Increase automation by eliminating manual processes and journal entries.
  • Support process mapping to enhance system capabilities and internal controls.
  • Assist transformation initiatives by partnering with the controllership team and IT organization.
  • Collaborate with Internal Control teams to implement continuous control enhancements.

Internal Control Initiatives

  • Partner with Internal Controls and IT teams to assess and implement controls.
  • Develop solutions to centralize controls using workflow and automated processes.
  • Execute internal control refresh activities to digitize ways of working.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA or Chartered Accountant certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience in a SOX compliant environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and issue resolution skills.
