Job Description
About the role
We are building a national team of Regional Hospitality & Retail Sales Executives to grow sales of our nut‑free, gluten‑free bakery range across the UK hospitality and retail sectors. You will own a defined territory (e.g., London & South East, East of England, Midlands, North, South West & Wales, or Scotland), spending most of your time on the road visiting hotels, cafés, restaurants, and selected retail outlets (delis, farm shops, convenience, and independents), with occasional office days in Essex.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage a portfolio of hospitality and retail accounts within your region.
- Visit prospects and existing customers on site to present our allergy‑safe bakery range, agree listings, and drive volume.
- Open new business in hotels, serviced apartments, cafés, restaurants, and leisure venues, plus independent and regional retail.
- Negotiate pricing, promotional activity, and terms within agreed margin guidelines.
- Ensure excellent execution in‑store/on‑site, including visibility, menu placement, and POS where relevant.
- Work closely with our Essex‑based team (operations, customer service, marketing) to ensure smooth onboarding and high service levels.
- Maintain accurate records of visits, pipeline, and forecasts in our CRM, providing regular activity and sales reports.
About you
- Proven B2B field sales experience in hospitality, retail, foodservice, or FMCG.
- Existing relationships with hotel groups, hospitality operators, or retailers are a strong advantage.
- Confident presenting to owners, general managers, F&B managers, and buyers.
- Commercially minded, with strong negotiation and closing skills and a consultative approach.
- Self‑motivated, comfortable planning your own diary and travel schedule within your region.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively in your territory, with occasional visits to our Essex office.
Compensation & commission
Basic salary in the region of £24,000–£28,000 per year, depending on experience.
High, uncapped commission:
- 12–13% commission on new business for the first 12 months of each account.
- 5% ongoing commission on repeat orders from your accounts for up to 12 months.
Realistic OTE £45,000+ once established. For example, at £10,000/month in sales you would earn around £1,200–£1,300/month commission on new business, plus growing residual income as your client base builds.
Probation & progression
- 3‑month probation period with guaranteed basic salary and full commission on any sales achieved.
- Clear activity and sales targets agreed at the start, with support to help you hit them.
- Performance review after 3 months: if you are on or above target, you continue on the same structure and we discuss territory and growth; if performance is significantly below target, we may adjust support/territory or, if necessary, bring the role to an end in line with probation terms.
What we offer
- Car allowance, plus laptop and mobile phone.
- Full training on our nut‑free, gluten‑free bakery range and ongoing support from a small, agile team.
- A defined regional territory with a large, under‑developed client base and the chance to build a portfolio that generates ongoing commission.
- The opportunity to help shape and scale a fast‑growing, allergy‑safe brand in both hospitality and retail channels.
