About the Energy Policy Analyst Role
The Green Tank is an independent think tank formulating policy proposals for a sustainable future. The Energy Policy Analyst position is focused on data and policy analysis to design and promote policy solutions aimed at reducing fossil fuel dependency and ensuring a socially just transition towards energy efficiency and clean energy.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyze European and national climate and energy policies.
- Search for and process data effectively.
- Develop policy proposals and present them to stakeholders and media.
- Take initiative and ensure thorough completion of tasks with accuracy.
- Draft reports and progress documents.
- Collaborate with organizations and networks inside and outside Greece.
- Work collaboratively with the Green Tank team with an open mindset.
Qualifications & Skills
A university degree (Bachelor and/or Master) in a relevant field (engineering, economics, environmental & energy economics, energy policy, political science, etc.).
Knowledge of key policies and legislation on energy and climate change at national, European, and international levels.
Understanding of technological developments related to the energy transition in electricity, buildings, and transport.
Familiarity with the basics of electricity market operations.
At least 3 years of experience in a related field.
Strong research abilities, data collection, organization, analytical skills, and problem-solving attitude.
Effective communication skills, presentation experience, and proficiency in both Greek and English.
Competence in MS Office and data visualization, as well as programming and data processing software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
