Director of Human Resources
The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Utica is seeking an experienced and driven Director of Human Resources to lead all HR functions within our facility. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing employee relations, recruitment, payroll, compliance, and HR operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all HR operations, including employee relations, benefits, and compliance.
- Process and manage weekly payroll accurately and on time.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay, benefits, and HR policies.
- Partner with department leaders to assess staffing needs, recruit, interview, and onboard new hires.
- Address and resolve employee concerns with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Manage PTO tracking and HR systems.
- Support leadership with HR guidance, reporting, and administrative functions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2–3 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- SHRM certification strongly preferred.
