Legal Counsel IT Description

The Legal Counsel IT role provides legal expertise and business partnership to Goodyear’s Global Information Technology organization. The position offers guidance on IT contracting, intellectual property, data security, privacy, policy compliance, and related agreements.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and manage a range of agreements including procurement, service, software licenses, partnerships, and non-disclosure agreements.
• Collaborate with procurement, vendor management, and Contracting Center of Excellence teams on IT matters.
• Advise designated technology and business units on strategies, risk mitigation, and IT policy.
• Support IT litigation, disputes, and provide day-to-day legal counsel.
• Develop agreement templates, conduct periodic training, and drive process improvements.
• Work with IP, privacy, and compliance counsels to execute company strategy.
• Manage external resources and support IT aspects of divestitures and acquisitions.
