Our Bitterfeld-Wolfen site boasts a unique history: where photographic history has been written under the ORWO name since 1909, approximately 150 employees today combine industrial know-how "Made in Germany" with modern production technology. Together, we are leading a piece of German industrial history into the digital future.
We are looking for an HR Operations Manager to strengthen our team. In this role, you will maintain an overview of our human capital, bring structure to complex HR processes, and create a stable foundation for sound decisions. Sound good? Then read on!

Your Daily Tasks
Employee Lifecycle Management
- You accompany the entire employee lifecycle in a structured and supportive manner – from entry to development and exit.
- You provide solution-oriented support to managers on performance, development, and personnel topics.
- You ensure clean HR data, complete documentation, and legally compliant reporting.
- You are a trusted sparring partner for production and operations management in all HR matters.
Workforce Planning & Availability
- You plan and manage workforce availability at the site proactively and flexibly – closely coordinated with site management and Global Operations.
- You coordinate local recruiting, onboarding, and deployment of permanent and temporary staff together with Group Talent Acquisition and external partners.
Employee Relations & Works Council Management
- You hold operational responsibility for collaboration with the works council at the site.
- You foster open, appreciative collaboration between HR and production and strengthen a positive working climate.
Data, Systems & Reporting
- You are responsible for HR systems, reporting, and data quality, creating transparency for Group HR.
- You derive concrete recommendations for efficiency and planning optimization from workforce data.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience
- At least 5 years of HR experience in a production or industrial environment with operational (leadership) responsibility and co-determination experience.
Hard Skills
- Good knowledge of German labor law and collaboration with the works council.
- Experience in managing flexible workforces, including temporary employment and seasonal peaks.
- Proficient use of HR systems, payroll, budgets, and HR key figures.
- Good English language skills, both written and spoken.
Soft Skills
- You conduct conversations appreciatively, clearly, and empathetically – even in sensitive situations.
- You work in a structured manner, remain calm under pressure, and set clear priorities.
- You build sustainable relationships and understand HR as a connecting role.
