Content Development Coordinator at The Culinary Institute of America
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $20 to $23 per hour. Hiring offers will be determined based on the final candidate’s qualifications and experience. Position Summary
The Content Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development of curricula for CIA Consulting, ProChef, and Food Enthusiast programming. You will collaborate with various project stakeholders through all stages of development to deliver high-quality materials that meet the CIA’s standard of excellence.
Essential Responsibilities
- Collaborate with CIA stakeholders including CE Directors, Content Development Managers, Sales Managers, Operations Managers, and Chef Instructors.
- Support ideation and creation of curricula through all project stages.
- Research culinary-themed topics via CIA publications and authoritative sources.
- Edit curricula for grammar, formatting, style, accuracy, and brevity.
- Assist in producing both print and digital curricula using LMS and established guidelines.
- Archive and organize curriculum files with proper naming conventions.
- Continuously improve existing curricula and processes.
- Develop staff training materials to support curriculum development and procedures.
- Mentor and validate the work of student Earn & Learn workers.
- Ensure compliance with IACET accreditation standards.
- Track, allocate, and report project time allocations.
- Perform any additional duties as required.
Education/Experience
Required: Associate’s Degree in a relevant field, a degree from a culinary arts institution, or significant work experience.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in English, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field along with experience in conceptualizing, writing, and editing instructional content, and familiarity with e-learning environments and LMS.

Work Conditions
Must be able to work overtime on nights and weekends as required. Regular computer usage for extended hours is expected.
