About The Foodservice Project Manager Role

Position Summary

This full-time Sales (Project Manager) role is responsible for designing, specifying, and selling foodservice equipment projects within multiple market territories including St. Louis or Kansas City MO, Chicago IL, Denver CO, Indianapolis IN, Detroit MI, and Ohio. You will work with architects, general contractors, and various foodservice operators such as restaurants, hotels, and hospitals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, specify, and sell contract jobs.
  • Prepare price quotes including bid and negotiated quotes.
  • Perform estimating and bid preparation.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Utilize general computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Use AutoQuotes and preferably SAP for project work.
  • Travel as required and work in job site conditions.

Education, Experience and Competencies

Candidates must have an associate or bachelor’s degree, or one to three years of relevant experience. Experience with layout, design and project management in the foodservice industry is preferred. Key competencies include teamwork, passion, innovation, good judgement, perseverance, professionalism and self-discipline.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The role involves primarily sedentary work with periods of standing or sitting. Some light physical activity such as lifting, bending, and reaching is required.
