Summary

The Ash Group is hiring a ServiceNow Software Developer (24514) for our client, a major electricity and natural gas utility provider. This is a 4-month contract working remotely (must reside in the US) but Minneapolis, MN is preferred. We are offering a pay rate up to $61 per hour W2 based on skill set.


Role Details

  • Compensation: $61/hr W2

  • Location: Remote (must reside in the US) but Minneapolis, MN is preferred


Develop and maintain software applications, including ServiceNow solutions, ensuring quality and alignment with enterprise standards. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, test, and deploy scalable systems. Provide documentation and support for operational stability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and develop software solutions, including ServiceNow applications.
  • Build and maintain workflows, catalog items, and integrations.
  • Develop and enhance applications following platform best practices.
  • Collaborate with architects and governance teams to ensure standards compliance.
  • Perform unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and defects.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
  • Support deployment activities and transition solutions to operational teams.
  • Ensure adherence to security, governance, and development standards.
  • Analyze system specifications, design, and modify complex custom software.
  • Assist in preparing technical design specifications and provide feedback on functional requirements.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands‑on software development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform components (Service Catalog, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, REST/SOAP Integrations).
  • Experience developing scoped applications and platform workflows.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.


Preferred Skills

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • Experience with ITSM, ITOM, Service Catalog, CMDB, and IntegrationHub.
  • Experience supporting large enterprise ServiceNow implementations.
  • Familiarity with governance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with DEX/NexThink.
