Summary
The Ash Group is hiring a Business Systems Analyst (24513) for our client, a major electricity and natural gas utility provider. This is a 4-month contract working remotely (must reside in the US) but Minneapolis, MN or Denver, CO are preferred. We are offering a pay rate up to $61 per hour W2 based on skill set.
Role Details
- Compensation: $61/hr W2

Business Systems Analyst (Contractor) supports the Xpress Hub project, a strategic initiative slated for completion in December 2026. The analyst collaborates with stakeholders, product owners, architects, and developers to elicit requirements, document processes, and translate business needs into actionable user stories within the ServiceNow platform. This role demands strong analytical, stakeholder management, and bridging skills between business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate requirements gathering workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
- Analyze and document current and future-state business processes.
- Create and maintain business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with ServiceNow developers and solution architects to ensure requirements clarity.
- Support backlog management, prioritization, and sprint planning.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing activities and validate delivered solutions against business requirements.
- Perform functional testing in the test environment.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend best practices.
- Manage stakeholder communications and provide regular project updates.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and knowledge transfer throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting enterprise applications or digital transformation initiatives.
- ServiceNow platform experience highly preferred
- Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
- Strong experience with requirements gathering, business process mapping, and user story creation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience supporting software development and implementation projects.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, or related modules.
