This position offers permanent part-time and full-time hours (0.8 - 1.0 EFT), with casual hours not available. We are seeking a Registered Nurse Grade 2 Year 4+ (YP5-YP9), and candidates with prior community experience (e.g., Hospital in the Home - HITH) are strongly encouraged to apply. The role is based across Alfred Care Group locations and comes with attractive staff benefits.

The Department: Nursing Workforce Planning Unit
The Nursing Workforce Planning Unit provides essential support across Alfred Health through its Pool cover. Our team comprises individuals capable of working across diverse specialties and adapting to new ward environments daily. Alfred Health is a recognized leader in healthcare delivery, improvement, research, and education. We serve as the primary provider of health services to residents in Melbourne's inner southeast suburbs and a major provider of specialist state-wide services to the people of Victoria.
The Position Summary: Registered Nurse Grade 2 - Nurse Pool
Working as a vital part of the Nurse Pool team, you will gain the unique experience of working across an extensive range of general and specialty areas. These include, but are not limited to: Vaccine Clinic, oncology, trauma, infectious diseases, respiratory, renal, neurology, emergency, cardiology, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, intensive care (ICU), and burns. As a Nurse Pool team member, you will benefit from comprehensive education and support, offering:

Skills and Qualifications Required
To be successful in the Registered Nurse Grade 2 - Nurse Pool role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Possess at least 4 years of experience (candidates with community experience, such as HITH, are strongly encouraged to apply)
- Be a motivated individual who thrives on the challenge of working in a team environment
- Demonstrate a strong understanding and background in Patient-Centred care
- Have the ability to maintain a high level of communication with patients, staff, and visitors
- Be available to work on a rotating roster, including morning, afternoon, and night duty, as well as weekends and public holidays
