About this Opportunity

Critical Path / Production

  • Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure seasonal timelines are maintained according to the company wide critical path, while seamlessly managing 2-3 seasons at one time.
  • Responsible for the entire production schedule of delivering seasonal and monthly orders on time without any delay according to Aje Critical path.
  • Ensuring all risk where a delay to production delivered to retail is mitigated and reduced.
  • Organize, attend and document handover of the new season from design to production.
  • Responsible for raising, communicating, confirming and sending purchase orders to all suppliers in accordance with the final merchandise order file & AP21 sales orders.
  • Update company systems ie AP21 where necessary relating to production department.
  • Warrant that all suppliers adhere to the delivery window for each purchase order placed.
  • Oversee production across all purchase orders, ensuring potential issues or concerns are communicated to key stakeholders in a timely manner.

Garment Tech and Product

  • Request, track and monitor pre-production and shipment samples in line with critical path.
  • Track receipt and approval of pre-production and shipment samples. Distribute to Garment Techs for timely processing.
  • Ensure pre-production and shipment sample comments are processed within acceptable timeframe.
  • Provide a weekly update and forecast of incoming samples to the Garment Technician Manager to effectively plan the Garment Tech’s workflow.
  • When the Production Manager is not able to attend, sit in on fit sessions to monitor production progress.

Suppliers

  • Build and maintain existing supplier relationships.
  • Work to improve product margins and supplier discounts.
  • Regular problem solving with production issues, present solutions and negotiate outcomes with suppliers.
  • Adhere to the Aje Collective Supplier Code of Conduct.

Product

  • Manage and approve all bulk production fabrics, linings, and trims against set standards from design.
  • Create and maintain the bulk fabric and trim library.
  • Work closely with the design, buying, and merchandising team to ensure quality products are delivered in line with the company expectations and parameters.
  • Organise, store and rotate hanging and boxed production samples in the Aje Atelier in conjunction with the garment tech and e-commerce departments.

Logistics

  • Attend weekly meetings to update on stock planning to move imminently and confirm freight forwarder bookings have been approved by Logistics for movement to chosen warehouses.
  • Confirm with suppliers’ bulk is running on schedule and has been booked to hand over to the freight forwarder.
  • Plan and communicate each season's schedule for SEA and AIR.
  • In conjunction with logistics resolve any overages, shortages, or delays in stock delivered from suppliers with the merchandise team.

Garment care - QC - Testing Standards and Requirements - Aje Brand Manual and Handbook

  • Generate and review accurate care label data to all suppliers against all purchase orders in conjunction with garment tech team and design teams.
  • Generate care label file for online customer use.
  • Apply fabric testing standards and requirements, complete sample or fabric testing where necessary.
  • Complete inhouse sample or fabric testing where necessary.

You will bring

  • 3-5 years of production experience working in contemporary or luxury fashion.
  • Knowledge in a variety of womenswear categories including ready-to-wear, denim, cut and sew, swimwear, knitwear, and accessories.
  • Excellent proficiency in AP21 + Excel.
  • Experienced in offshore manufacturing.
  • Fabric knowledge encompassing jersey, Knit, and woven from delicate to structured fabric bases.
  • Tenacious, assertive, and determined attitude with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Highly organized and numerical with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work efficiently and quickly without compromising quality.
