Role Overview: Game Designer - Encounters

This temporary Project Hire role focuses on designing and prototyping combat encounters, integrating AI and event scripting for next-gen gameplay and storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Design and prototype combat encounters with AI and event scripting.
  • Collaborate with experienced developers, producers, and other departments.
  • Plan and prioritize development schedules while managing scope.
  • Communicate a clear creative vision through prototypes and visual assets.
  • Ensure high quality and fidelity for next-gen gameplay.

Requirements & Skills

  • Experience with Unreal Engine game development and shipping titles.
  • Familiarity with art packages such as Maya, 3ds Max, and Adobe suite.
  • Knowledge of scripting or coding languages like XML, PERL, C++ is ideal.
  • Strong cinematic sense to conceptualize narrative-driven encounters.
