Role Overview
The Game Designer Content Scripter works on crafting story events using cinematics, scripted moments, visual language, pacing, and dialogue. This role bridges disciplines, working closely with directors, production leads, animation, and engineering teams to ensure a cohesive and high-quality player experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain Unreal Engine assets and manage complex system interactions.
- Collaborate with animation, engineering, art, and other teams to craft narrative moments.
- Communicate across disciplines and bridge multiple content categories.
- Plan and prioritize work on both micro and macro levels with production teams.
- Drive iterative improvements focused on technical and aesthetic quality.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience with Unreal Engine including sequencer, montages, blueprints, and event scripting.
- Familiarity with animation systems and narrative presentation techniques.
- Strong technical problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to balance priorities in a highly iterative, cross-disciplinary environment.
- Passion for narrative design and excellence in quality production.
Employment Details
This is a temporary Project Hire position for candidates in North America. Compensation ranges between $89,000 and $111,000, with eligibility for benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, flexible PTO, and more.
