Team and Project Overview

The Thales team is delivering a harmonised Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (OneSKY) in Australia for Airservices Australia and Defence. This system will enhance safety, efficiency and environmental outcomes while reducing delays for travelers.

Your Role

The Verification & Validation Engineer will work within an international multidisciplinary team, focusing on the Verification and Validation of the TopSKY subsystem. This role ensures compliance to requirements and the system's fitness for purpose according to operational scenarios.

Responsibilities

  • Verify solution compliance to Functional Baseline requirements.
  • Validate system fitness for purpose per Operational Concepts.
  • Participate in System Requirement Analysis and develop a Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM).
  • Conduct V&V tests per project plans at various premises.
  • Participate in Acceptance Verification & Validation (AV&V) with the customer.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Applicants should have 5+ years in test engineering or test analysis on large, complex, real time software systems. Experience in Air Traffic Management Verification and Validation, scenario design and execution, and familiarity with ATM standards (ICAO, Eurocontrol, AID) is highly regarded. A Defence security clearance is required; applicants must be Australian citizens eligible to obtain and maintain such clearance.
