The OneSKY Project
Thales Australia is delivering a harmonised Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (CMATS / OneSKY) for Airservices Australia and Defence. This project is set to enhance safety, efficiency, and environmental outcomes while reducing delays.
The Role: Systems Architect
The Systems Architect is a key role for the OneSKY project, responsible for defining, stabilising, and maintaining the solution architecture for bids and projects across all lifecycle phases. This role requires direct engagement with customers and internal senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and propose innovative technical solutions aligned with customer requirements.
- Analyse architectural choices to balance requirements, cost, and risk.
- Lead working groups to resolve technical disputes between subsystems and security teams.
- Serve as the key technical contact for customers regarding solution evolution.
- Develop Architectural Viewpoints, system breakdowns, and validate through proof of concept activities.
What You Bring
On day one, you will have:
- Able to obtain Australian defence clearance.
- 10+ years of experience on complex software-centric real-time systems.
- Expertise in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and frameworks like Arcadia and NAF.
- Experience in designing secure solution architectures in line with ISM standards.
- Strong stakeholder management across multi-cultural teams and international customers.
Clearance & Eligibility
A Defence security clearance is required. Applicants must be Australian citizens eligible for clearance. More details available on the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency website.
