Solution Architect Embedded Crypto Devices at Thales

Join us in developing and producing tactical and field-proven radio devices for networked operations in military applications. Become part of the Thales expert team for radio devices, cybersecurity, cryptography, encryption components, hardware security modules, and electronic key management systems.
Your Mission as Solution Architect Embedded Crypto Devices:
- Development of Device Architectures: New development and design of architectures for proprietary embedded system platforms, especially cryptographic systems in professional security technology.
- Definition of Hardware and Software System Components: Determination of hardware architecture and functional specifications for FPGAs and microcontrollers.
- Holistic Development Process Support: Responsibility for the entire development cycle from offer creation, definition, and development to production and device approval.
- Requirements Management and Requirement Engineering: Capture, analyze, and process customer requirements, define and refine requirements, and develop corresponding concepts and system architectures.
- Documentation and Technical Communication: Creation of technical documents, data sheets, specifications, and concept papers to secure and communicate development results.
- Team Leadership and Project Support: Technical guidance and organization of development teams, and support for offer creation and project implementation through technical expertise and experience with complex devices.
What We Are Looking For:
- Education and Experience: Successfully completed studies in communications/information technology, electrical engineering, computer science, or similar, plus several years of experience in modeling and designing embedded system architectures, preferably in cryptographic devices.
- Core Technical Competencies (Mandatory): In-depth knowledge of modern embedded software and hardware architectures, several years of experience in hardware-near software development with C/C++ and knowledge in the development and approval of cryptographic systems (e.g., CC certifications).
- Additional Technical Competencies (Advantageous): Experience in FPGA implementation, application of current development tools, and knowledge of approval projects and their processes.
- Security Requirements: Willingness to undergo a security clearance (Ü2) due to sensitive development areas.
- Social Competencies: Excellent communication skills, networked strategic thinking, solution-oriented approach, team spirit, and self-reflection ability.
- Language Skills: Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken, for optimal communication within the team and with international interfaces.
