Position Overview

Thales is a global leader in digital security, architecting identity management and data protection solutions. The Procurement Project Manager role at Thales in Austin, TX is key to liaising between business stakeholders and the Global Procurement team, ensuring early procurement involvement and driving cost optimization and efficiency.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Develop and promote Thales procurement competitiveness internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to shape procurement strategies and work packages.
  • Challenge acquisition needs and drive design-to-cost analysis.
  • Oversee procurement planning, risk mitigation, and compliance with governance.
  • Lead and manage the IBS NORAM procurement team and monitor performance.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain or Engineering with 8+ years of experience in procurement and/or project management. Proven leadership, communication and strategic skills are required along with a strong background in savings delivery, cost analysis, and procurement process management.

Special Position Requirements

Travel required: on average one week per quarter. Position requires a post-offer background check.
