About the Role

The Principal Systems Engineer will define, stabilize, and maintain solution architectures across all lifecycle phases for bids and projects while ensuring compliance with product and system strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and propose innovative technical solutions meeting customer requirements.
  • Analyze architectural and technical choices balancing cost, risk, and performance.
  • Lead working groups and engage with stakeholders to resolve cross-disciplinary constraints.
  • Conduct early validation through modeling and proof of concept activities.
  • Develop and document architectural viewpoints, system breakdown, and interface definitions.
  • Support engineering reviews, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and human factors.
  • Provide mentoring and support to personnel engaged in architectural activities.

Essential Experience

Candidates should have proven experience in leading technical initiatives for complex, software-centric real-time systems. Experience in the ATM Domain, Air Traffic Management standards (ICAO, Eurocontrol, AID) and secure solution design is essential. The role demands effective stakeholder management, cross-cultural team coordination, and solid communication skills. A Defence security clearance is required, and applicants must be Australian citizens eligible for clearance.
