The Role: Material Planner
Join our team as a Material Planner, where you will be instrumental in coordinating production and repair activities to efficiently meet demand. This role involves overseeing planning performance, optimizing resource utilization, ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, and driving continuous improvement throughout the operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage production and repair plans within your designated scope.
- Define clear planning standards, ensure the accuracy of data, and optimize ERP planning settings.
- Monitor stock levels diligently and adjust plans to effectively balance demand, capacity, and industrial constraints.
- Optimize the utilization of all resources, including personnel, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Provide crucial support to the Master Planner and APRU Manager in the development and execution of the overall Production & Repair Plan.
- Analyze workload and capacity, implementing proactive solutions for any short-term disruptions.
- Track industrial cycles meticulously and maintain accurate, up-to-date ERP records.
Your Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with ERP/MRP, PLM, and various industrial information systems.
- Solid understanding of complex supply chain flows, master scheduling principles, and manufacturing/repair processes.
- Proven experience applying Just-in-Time methodologies and continuous improvement tools (e.g., 5S, Gemba, PDCA).
- Confidence in utilizing digital tools and dashboards for in-depth analysis and informed decision support.
- Excellent communication skills, coupled with strong collaboration, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated rigour and the capacity to work effectively and autonomously without direct people management.
