Role Details
Join the Above Water Systems team at the Garden Island Defence Precinct where you will manage work packages, ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies, coordinate with trade supervisors and subcontractors, and handle project progress reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high safety standards and enforce environmental policies.
- Monitor workplace safety and implement corrective measures.
- Oversee project execution and manage client relationships.
- Coordinate trade supervisors and subcontractors to meet deadlines.
- Track project progress, address risks, and report to managers.
- Analyse labour hours and material costs to achieve financial targets.
- Ensure adherence to quality and technical standards.
- Participate in meetings to resolve project challenges.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or relevant trade experience. Strong safety leadership in complex industrial environments is required, with previous superintendent experience considered an advantage. Experience in costing, technical proposals, and financial processes is also important. Background experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, heavy engineering, or civil engineering is beneficial.
