Machine Operator Tier 1 - 1st Shift

Position Overview

The Machine Operator Tier 1 - 1st Shift at Thales is responsible for operating production machinery in a manufacturing environment in Chanhassen, MN. This role focuses on RFID technology activities including DL/ID personalization, card body and eCovers production while ensuring quality and adherence to company standards, policies and procedures.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Operate and monitor production machinery for consistent quality output.
• Perform small machine adjustments using provided tools.
• Conduct production, quality inspection, documentation and mailing tasks.
• Maintain equipment, floor cleanliness and stock materials per 6S Sigma standards.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate issues with supervisors.
• Review job sheets and approved proofs to meet customer specifications.
• Diagnose and repair minor machine issues using maintenance training.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card Holder with strong communication, basic math and troubleshooting skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ability to work from SOPs, technical education or experience and obtaining a Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance are required.

Preferred Qualifications

Up to 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment and with production machinery operation is preferred.

Physical Demands & Safety

This role requires sustained machine operation in a moderate noise environment and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Adherence to safety protocols including wearing PPE is mandatory.
