Overview

Thales delivers identity management and data protection solutions to secure digital interactions for businesses and governments. In this role as Machine Operator - 3rd Shift, you will work on-site in Chanhassen, MN, ensuring quality production, maintenance of equipment, and adherence to company standards.

Position Summary

This on-site position focuses on operating production machinery related to RFID Technology, including DL/ID personalization, Card Body and eCovers. You are required to maintain quality, productivity, and cleanliness while following established standard operating procedures.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Operate production machinery and monitor output quality.
  • Perform small machine adjustments with hand tools.
  • Conduct production, quality inspection, and mailing of finished goods.
  • Maintain equipment and document production logs.
  • Ensure shop floor cleanliness following 6S Sigma practices.
  • Assist colleagues and provide machine coverage as needed.
  • Communicate issues to Production Supervisor or Manager.
  • Diagnose and repair minor machine issues post-training.

Minimum Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Holder.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills and familiarity with hand tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and troubleshoot routine issues.
  • Understanding of established SOPs and work instructions.
  • Must be able to obtain post-hire Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Up to 1 year manufacturing or machine/IT experience.
  • Experience operating production machinery is preferred.

Physical Demands & Additional Information

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels. Must adhere to safety policies including wearing safety shoes and possibly other PPE. Physical demands include repetitive motion, excellent eye-hand coordination, and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Successful completion of a post-offer background check is required along with compliance to federal contractor vaccine mandates.
