Overview

Thales Alenia Space, a joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), is a global space manufacturer with 40+ years of experience in high-tech space solutions including telecommunications, navigation, Earth Observation, environmental management, exploration and orbital infrastructures.

Profile

This role is ideal for a recent Master of Engineering or Computer Science graduate with solid architecture and engineering systems experience. The ideal candidate is a leader, responsible, persuasive, enjoys engaging with customers, and has excellent communication and relationship skills.

Competencies

  • Understanding of operational concepts and technical strategy in navigation.
  • Experience in operational analysis and co-engineering (Lean Thinking, Obeya, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Concept, Design, Experimentation, Simulation, and MBSE modeling tools.
  • Knowledge of Integration, Verification, Validation, Qualification, and Agile methods.

Nice to Have

  • Basic telecommunication principles and satellite navigation fundamentals.
  • Experience with simulation tools like Matlab and STK.
  • Participation in international meetings with European Space actors (ESA, EUSPA, EC, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Lean Engineering or SAFe.
