Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Manual and Automation Testing Engineer with 8-10 years of experience in testing web applications. The candidate will lead testing strategies, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement in testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Automation Leadership: Design and implement reusable automated test frameworks using tools like Selenium, Katalon, TestNG, or JUnit to optimize processes.
  • Manual Testing Expertise: Lead comprehensive functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Test Strategy & Planning: Create detailed test plans aligning with business goals, resources, and risk mitigation.
  • Web Services Testing: Execute SOAP and REST testing by generating GET/POST requests.
  • Bug Tracking & Defect Management: Report and track defects using tools like JIRA and collaborate for resolutions.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with testing tools, drive innovation in continuous testing and DevOps pipelines.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align testing efforts.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain test cases, plans, matrices, and detailed progress reports.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of manual and automation testing experience on web applications.
  • Proficiency in Selenium, Katalon and coding in Java, Python or JavaScript.
  • Strong SQL skills and basic Linux system experience.
  • Experience in SOAP and REST web services testing.
  • Familiar with test management tools like JIRA and virtualization tools such as VMware.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines including Jenkins, Git, and Maven.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner or JMeter.
  • Exposure to mobile applications testing and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with security testing practices.
