About the Role of Brand Communications Lead at Text

As a Brand Communications Lead, you will own and scale the brand's verbal identity across the Text organization. This pivotal role ensures all communication, both internal and external, is clear, consistent, and perfectly aligned with Text's brand principles. You will serve as the steward of our brand voice, collaborating cross-functionally to align communications with brand guidelines and elevate their quality at scale.

Your primary focus will be on setting standards, providing direction, reviewing critical work, and empowering other teams to communicate effectively within our established brand system. This encompasses product and go-to-market efforts, recruiting initiatives, investor communications, and even merchandise. The ideal candidate is a US English speaker possessing strong editorial judgment, comfort with complex topics, and the ability to lead through influence.

What You'll Do as Brand Communications Lead

  • Own the company's brand voice, tone, and verbal guidelines comprehensively.
  • Develop robust communication frameworks for brand-critical and customer-facing content, including marketing and GTM materials, product copy, corporate and investor communications, HR, recruiting, and employer-brand content.
  • Create scalable processes and tools that operationalize the brand, enabling teams to apply brand principles consistently and efficiently.
  • Review and provide insightful feedback on high-impact communication assets across the organization, personally crafting or refining the most critical pieces when necessary.
  • Partner closely with writers, marketers, product teams, HR, and leadership to:
    • Improve content clarity and overall quality.
    • Ensure consistency across all teams and communication channels.
    • Empower colleagues to produce their best work within established brand guidelines.
  • Act as the main point of accountability for Text's brand language and narrative.
  • Proactively identify and address any gaps or risks in how the brand is expressed.

Who You Are

  • You possess a strong content writing background, with significant experience leading brand, communications, editorial, or narrative initiatives.
  • Highly independent and comfortable taking full ownership of a broad, cross-functional area.
  • Able to operate effectively across diverse contexts and priorities without compromising clarity or quality.
  • Confident in leading through influence, sound judgment, and collaborative efforts.
  • Detail-oriented, with a keen sense of what constitutes excellent communication and how to achieve it at scale.

Team & Context

This role is an integral part of the Brand Team, which is responsible for developing and implementing the brand strategy and ensuring consistent execution across the entire organization. The team functions as both a strategic owner and a quality gatekeeper, with a strong focus on go-to-market initiatives.

How We Work at Text

Text operates as a hybrid team, embracing remote work where appropriate and valuing onsite collaboration for critical moments. Quarterly, your entire team will gather for 5 working days at our Wrocław office, dedicated to focused execution, unblocking work, and achieving key outcomes. Our Wrocław office remains open year-round for anyone wishing to drop by.

This is a B2B contract (self-employed) position. Candidates will need to have a registered business in selected EU countries or the USA, or be able to register one in their country. Please ensure this arrangement suits your professional situation before applying.
