Overview
Join Texas Health and Human Services in Austin, TX as a Program Specialist. Work within the IT Internal Marketing department providing advanced consultative services, technical assistance, and administrative support for strategic IT initiatives and committees.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative and logistical support for committees.
- Track compliance requests and coordinate committee deliverables.
- Conduct advanced research and analysis on health IT policies.
- Prepare briefing documents, reports, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business administration, project management or coordination, with at least 2-3 years in project management responsibilities. A degree in business administration, computer information systems, management information systems, public administration or a related field is preferred. Certifications like Project Manager or Certified Project Coordinator are a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws/regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple program activities and initiatives.
- Strong research, data analysis, and policy evaluation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, exempt role based in Austin, TX with telework eligibility (subject to agency policies). Regular schedule with day shifts, occasional travel up to 10%, and benefits including 100% paid employee health insurance, defined benefit pension plan, and generous time off benefits.
