Staff Pharmacist Inpatient
Texas Children's Hospital is seeking a Staff Pharmacist Inpatient to manage the medication process in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities
The role involves promoting pharmaceutical care by ensuring medications meet high standards, educating patients and caregivers, supporting patient safety systems, and maintaining effective communication. The pharmacist also contributes to the medication management process through discharge medication reviews and study participation.
- Ensures medications adhere to highest quality standards.
- Educates patients, caregivers, and community on safe medication use.
- Supports systems to enhance patient safety.
- Maintains investigational drug records per policy.
- Conducts discharge reviews and medication counseling.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or Ph.D. in Pharmacy with RPH certification from the state of Texas. Hospital staff pharmacist experience and training in compounding sterile products are preferred.
